oh MY!  those Roos eh? Seriously.  If they were the Indian Cricket Team you would assume they were on the take.  Maybe they are?  TOO FUNNY!  I almost feel guilty.  Nuh.  Not at all.  GO CROWS!

Seems like my post didn't go up last week.  I'll blame technology.  But lets be honest, nothing happened last week.  This week on the other hand we have a 24 hour news cycle devoted to Pies supporters.  You could see them all rubbing their hands with glee... WAHOO! SOME CONTROVERSY!  The Pies got smashed on and off the field - although yes, Eddie did do the right thing so we should give a tick.  The Swans clicked for the first time this year.  Someone must have put their calendar forward 3 months cos they looked red hot.

The only other real surprise for me was the Doggies beating the Sinners.  But that just goes to show that when teams destined to finish bottom 4 play eachother, either team can win.

The eight is almost settled so lets start jostling for positions... I'll give you one change and one change only.  The Pies to come back in and either the Bombers or Blues to crash out.  Take your pick.

Tippers
Louman got the full house over the weekend.  That is pretty bluddy handy and is the kind of thing that takes you to the top of the table.  Kinda surprised there were so many low scores but just back the Crows and things will turn for you eventually.  The whole table squeezed up a bit with JMc still equal top after getting just the 5 right.

Don't forget the Side Comp folks... you just keep on tipping in it - even if you don't think you are a chance in the main gig, a top 3 in the Streak will give you some money.  Although it helps to have paid me.  Crowsfc is now up to 19 and still going - he needs 4 more to catch WEPIT... tread carefully.

Round 10
The last round before the split round and there are some biggies.  The Lions host the Pies on friday night and while you will all back the Pies - and rightly so - the Lions are playing ok and it is at home... lets see what happens with some of the Pies outs before upping the margin.

The Blues should beat GWS comfy, but at Footy Park the Crows host the Dockers in what should be a ripper.  The Dockers are missing players but still winning (do Melbourne count as a win?), whlie the Crows had the luxury of playing the Roos and thus only really having to play one quarter of footy.  I'll back the Crows but it should be a great game cos the Dockers are going to be top 4 come years end.

The Peptides are bringing their pills to Sydney on Saturday arvo and myself and the Crowsfc will be making our way out to the SCG to get some restricted viewing action and watch it.  I really don't think the bombers are any chance.  2013 is becoming 2012 for them.  That what happens with drugs.  Every day becomes a repeat of the day before.  Swans will beat them comfy.

Down at Catsland they are having their first night game and it is against the Ablett's.  The Suns won't make the 8, but they are without a doubt the most improving team in the comp and anyone that takes them lightly (aka Hawks) will be in for a shock.  Pencil them into the 8 next year - bet you didn't say that at the start of the season.  Anyway, the Cats will win.

Up in Darwin the Doggies 'host' the Paps.  Tough pick.  Are the dogs playing better?  Have the Paps dropped totally?  No home ground advantage here so I'll stick with the Paps based on general form.

And then there are 3 formalities... the Hawks by 56 goals over the Dees, North should surely beat the Sinners, and the Eagles will push the Tiggers further out of the 8...

Round 7 - Sinners Unite

Carn you Sinners!

As I sit here watching a game that I thought was a formality... I say unto thee...  Go You Sinners! Hahaha ahhh mick - the screen shows your joke of a face as it turns redder than than Singo talking to a Waterhouse after a cuppla frothies.  GOAL to Armitage...

Did I mention that I am leading the DreamTeam comp?  Damn I am fine.  I've ditched that pathetic Franklin just in time to see him get some points on the board (love that).  I've kept Gibbs in the hope that that keeps him injured (I have a spot on the bench for him.)  And I've brought in Dale Thomas in the hope that he either (a) gets me big points or (b) gets injured.  Or both.

Meanwhile the Crows took the opportunity to school the GWS.   Lynch looked like a Riewoldt. Dangerfield looked like Dangerfield. The Giants looked like mini people.  But they still will win a Premiership before the Dees who were pathetic against the Suns. Yes I picked the Suns but 60 points..?  Woeful.  Thought it was a bit harsh of Gerard Healy to refer to the Suns as ####s but it clearly worked wonders...

The two big games of the round really turned into nothings as the Cats rebounded from another incredibly slow start to smash the Bomb-outs, and the Hawks killed the Swans - not a contest.  That leaves the Cats unbeaten on top and looking as good as ever, while the Bombs will now start to head South.  Factor in the drugs and you can see this turning into a long season for them... you heard it here ladies.  Nothing but the facts.

The Lions put up a bit of a fight against the Beagles.  Apparently they were 'plucky'.  Don't you love hearing the ad where big JB tells us how "nothing beats coming off the ground knowing you've hit all those key indicators...".  Time to stop losing then eh?

No shocks with the Roos beating the Doggies, but Majak is one big muthaf***** unit eh?  He is bigger than ME despite my steroid program currently being 18 weeks in.  Imposing is the word.  The Doggies are just lucky they have Melbourne playing in the same comp cos they are a pretty average bunch of units.

Given how badly hit by injury the Haze are at the moment, it shows how far back the Pies have fallen to lose to them.  Shame.  As per the pre-season prediction, the Haze will be up amongst it at the pointy end if they can get some key players back.

The biggest suprise of the round for me was the Paps meek game against the Tiggers who were missing some decent players.  Has the Paps year come to a sharp stop?  Their younger players are already tiring.  The next cuppla weeks will see if they are as PATHETIC as we all thought at the start of the year or if they really have improved.   Still at least they aren't Melbourne.

And the Blues lost players, tried to THUG their way through it all (Eddie!), and lost to the Sinners.  Ahhh glorious it be.

Tippers
No one picked the full round, with the Sinners win being the main culprit.  Picking 8 from 9 was Mr Casey who leapt into 2nd position, 1 behind the J-Mac.  Former leader and inspiration to thousands - Tom Rosewall - managed just the 4 and fell a few off the pace.

In the Streak Comp, WEPIT's run has ended with his selection of the Blues - his 23 is now the target.  Magyver is on 21 and the leader of current runs.  Don't forget to keep putting your picks in - it is the longest streak across the year so plenty of time.

Round 8
As usual there are some interesting games and some not so interesting games.  First up is the Beagles v Roos game.  I guess that qualifies as interesting as they both need the win.  Plus the media is having fun playing up the Majak v Nicnat angle.  Not sure exactly why - must be cos they are both so damn tall.  The winner goes 4:4 so it is a big game - at home I'll go the Eagles.

Essendon v Brissy in Melbourne... the Bombers should win this pretty easy.  And the poor Giants will get smacked around the goolies by the Hawks, but in the battle of the bottoms, the Suns will be favorites again this week as they play the Doggies.  Hmmm.  Not sure they can back up a cuppla weeks in a row... but it is at home so will tip the Suns.

Pies n Cats.  A few weeks ago this would have been 50/50 but the Pies have got some probs.  I think it will be close-ish but the Cats will have too much and the Pies will drop out of the 8 to be replaced by the Mighty Mighty Crows who will have no trouble beating the Sinners.

Sydney will beat an undermanned Haze at the SCG, the Blues should beat a dropping Paps, and Richmond will chew up and spit out the Dees.

Bloody Rubbish

Umpires? Bloody rubbish. What is going on when literally a finger tap on the arm costs you a game? It's not often I agree with Everywhere Eddie but in this case he is right. As if the Mighties don't have enough problems without The Worst Decision Ever Made being thrust down their throats.  Tippers leaves for a bunch of Swans, the Mullett is out injured for a year, and the players have to live in a town where the most exciting thing to happen is when the Balls move three feet left.  And then THAT!  And then hungry Bartlett claims the rule is the same as ever.  Rubbish! ON YOUR BIKE OLD MAN!

Hmmm actually I didn't see any game cos I was too busy DUBBLIN DA TOOL but I trust Eddie.

The Bombers drugs kicked in at half time.  Nuff said. After that it was a round to forget... In fact...I already have...

The Tippers
You all tipped the full house! Well almost all of you.

Round 7
This week has a Monday night game. They shit me more than umpires and Eddie combined.  Fortunately we have some big games and it doesn't get any bigger than the Crows n Giants out at Skoda. Win number 3 come on down.

Lesser games are on the books too though. There is the lil matter of the Grand Final replay. The hawks n Swans down in Melbourne.... Hmmm interesting they replayed the prelim and grand finals in the consecutive weeks... Will the results go the same way? I think the Hawks may get the one that doesn't matter.

The cats n drugcheats play Friday night. It is being billed as The Big Game.  Two Undefeated Teams.  but The Cats will be way too good. Not even a contest.  And the Paps will be too good for the Tiggers in the city that never wakes.  The lions have Blackie back as they play the out of form beagles.  If you want a supposed upset this one could be it.  The Roos will beat the Doggies, while the sinners play the Blues... Two trains passing as the Blues should win pretty comfy.

The dockers host the pies... Hmmm probably the toughest pick. The haze have injuries bit the Pies aren't playing overwhelming footy... Toss a coin and pik the Dockers. Then get annoyed.

Finally the dees n suns play. Carn the suns. If you didn't pick the lions, pick the suns.

Round 5 - Tex

First up, I have more excuses for being late this week.  I had a tooth removed and the last thing you want to hear from your dentist as he is about to snap, bash, crack, rip and grind is "yes... I dont blame you for being nervous... this looks quite challenging...".  Don't believe me...?

All I can say is Drugs are Good.

OK officially the Mighties are in a touch of strife. Tex has fallen for the Curse of Horseboys Dream Team and is gone for the season, and the Crows in general are looking wobblier than the Dank/Hird love affair.  The Crows were so bad they managed to finish with 1 person on the bench and fight back hard in the last quarter but still lose to the Blues who received 21 free kicks to 12. Those Blues must be awesome.

Back to ANZAC Day, and the Bombers put in a dominant performance against the Pies. Do we bother taking any notice of anything the Bombers do? They claim they didn't take illegal drugs.  Aha.   Shades of Saddam Hussein there me thinks.  The other ANZAC game was the Sinners and Swans - ahhhh yes the first game played for 4 points on foreign soil. Could they have picked two teams that have played worse games against each other over the last 5 years?  They said it was a success but I just saw a very boring game of footy.

The Haze scraped home against the Tiggers after the ump got in the way on the goal front.  Jack Riewoldt was a very naughty boy apparently. Who cares. Move on. The biggest game for mine was the Paps win over the Beagles after igniting back from 26 goals down with 3 minutes to play.  How an unbeaten team paying at home was not favourites against a team that was 1-3 was beyond me. Hate to say it but thePaps are looking like the Crows circa 2012 (while the Crows look Pap-like).

Brassie beat the Dees (who lost Mitch Clarke), the Cats made hard work of the Dogs, the Suns easily bet the Giants, and in the final game SOMEhow the hawks got home over the Roos.  How did they do that? Lucky lucky lucky... But in the process they did lose Rioli.  Oops.

The Tippers
There were a few tens this week with pavpaaaaaa, Joseph mcaleer and Tom rosewall... Getting the full house and moving to the top of the table. Easy game apparently.

In the streak comp Daaaave 'wepit' Cassell s on 17! This from the an that can't string a single bet together. No shame tat man...

Round 6
The Friday nighter this week is a yawn fest - the Sinners will be pathetic against the Pies. And while I would like to see the Bombers players start their big come down soon, it won't be against the Giants.

The Roos start major favourites over the Paps down in tassie... Here is a REAL chance to give themselves a name... Dare I say go Paps? Hmmm must be the drugs. I think the Roos will nab this one though.

We all know the Crows will smack the hawks, but if you are looking for an upset this week it is the Tigs over the Hawks.

All the rest is pretty obvious... Dockers over the Suns, Sydney over the Lions, Blues over the Dees, and Beagles over the doggies...

Hey have you paid? Email me... I need to pay for this tooth!!
