Round 7 - Sinners Unite

Carn you Sinners!

As I sit here watching a game that I thought was a formality... I say unto thee...  Go You Sinners! Hahaha ahhh mick - the screen shows your joke of a face as it turns redder than than Singo talking to a Waterhouse after a cuppla frothies.  GOAL to Armitage...

Did I mention that I am leading the DreamTeam comp?  Damn I am fine.  I've ditched that pathetic Franklin just in time to see him get some points on the board (love that).  I've kept Gibbs in the hope that that keeps him injured (I have a spot on the bench for him.)  And I've brought in Dale Thomas in the hope that he either (a) gets me big points or (b) gets injured.  Or both.

Meanwhile the Crows took the opportunity to school the GWS.   Lynch looked like a Riewoldt. Dangerfield looked like Dangerfield. The Giants looked like mini people.  But they still will win a Premiership before the Dees who were pathetic against the Suns. Yes I picked the Suns but 60 points..?  Woeful.  Thought it was a bit harsh of Gerard Healy to refer to the Suns as ####s but it clearly worked wonders...

The two big games of the round really turned into nothings as the Cats rebounded from another incredibly slow start to smash the Bomb-outs, and the Hawks killed the Swans - not a contest.  That leaves the Cats unbeaten on top and looking as good as ever, while the Bombs will now start to head South.  Factor in the drugs and you can see this turning into a long season for them... you heard it here ladies.  Nothing but the facts.

The Lions put up a bit of a fight against the Beagles.  Apparently they were 'plucky'.  Don't you love hearing the ad where big JB tells us how "nothing beats coming off the ground knowing you've hit all those key indicators...".  Time to stop losing then eh?

No shocks with the Roos beating the Doggies, but Majak is one big muthaf***** unit eh?  He is bigger than ME despite my steroid program currently being 18 weeks in.  Imposing is the word.  The Doggies are just lucky they have Melbourne playing in the same comp cos they are a pretty average bunch of units.

Given how badly hit by injury the Haze are at the moment, it shows how far back the Pies have fallen to lose to them.  Shame.  As per the pre-season prediction, the Haze will be up amongst it at the pointy end if they can get some key players back.

The biggest suprise of the round for me was the Paps meek game against the Tiggers who were missing some decent players.  Has the Paps year come to a sharp stop?  Their younger players are already tiring.  The next cuppla weeks will see if they are as PATHETIC as we all thought at the start of the year or if they really have improved.   Still at least they aren't Melbourne.

And the Blues lost players, tried to THUG their way through it all (Eddie!), and lost to the Sinners.  Ahhh glorious it be.

Tippers
No one picked the full round, with the Sinners win being the main culprit.  Picking 8 from 9 was Mr Casey who leapt into 2nd position, 1 behind the J-Mac.  Former leader and inspiration to thousands - Tom Rosewall - managed just the 4 and fell a few off the pace.

In the Streak Comp, WEPIT's run has ended with his selection of the Blues - his 23 is now the target.  Magyver is on 21 and the leader of current runs.  Don't forget to keep putting your picks in - it is the longest streak across the year so plenty of time.

Round 8
As usual there are some interesting games and some not so interesting games.  First up is the Beagles v Roos game.  I guess that qualifies as interesting as they both need the win.  Plus the media is having fun playing up the Majak v Nicnat angle.  Not sure exactly why - must be cos they are both so damn tall.  The winner goes 4:4 so it is a big game - at home I'll go the Eagles.

Essendon v Brissy in Melbourne... the Bombers should win this pretty easy.  And the poor Giants will get smacked around the goolies by the Hawks, but in the battle of the bottoms, the Suns will be favorites again this week as they play the Doggies.  Hmmm.  Not sure they can back up a cuppla weeks in a row... but it is at home so will tip the Suns.

Pies n Cats.  A few weeks ago this would have been 50/50 but the Pies have got some probs.  I think it will be close-ish but the Cats will have too much and the Pies will drop out of the 8 to be replaced by the Mighty Mighty Crows who will have no trouble beating the Sinners.

Sydney will beat an undermanned Haze at the SCG, the Blues should beat a dropping Paps, and Richmond will chew up and spit out the Dees.
