Well it all kicks off with a marketers absolute wet dream. The BlueBaggers v Benny's Coked Up Tigers. Juddy v Benny. This is huge. Seriously. The Tigers are chockers full of happiness pills at the moment - Benny got a special deal, and memberships are up and the team is talkin it, but will they walk it? They're coming up against the Blues who most people are tipping to finish top 8. Will the Fev play? Once again I have him in my dream team (sheeds can go get...) so chances are he is already out for 6 months. Juddy is in there too so I expect a groin strain halfway through the second quarter. But despite that my tip is the Tigers will go down like an addict after a 3 day bender. Blues will be way too good. Simple.
Friday night sees yet another ripper. Tis the Grand Final replay. This tip is like shooting fish in a barrel. Well, assuming the AFL brought in the rule to stop scabbing rushed behinds. Ablett to score 300 points in my dream team, captain = 600. GO SON GO! Hawks to lose 8 in a row and be the first Premiers to finish bottom the following year.
On Saturday we have the Pies n Crows duking it out in melbourne. *sighs* memories of NYC 2008. Squinting at a lil tv with no sound in some dodgy irish bar, sending off random texts as 3 in the morning. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE DAMN YOU! You'll all pick the Pies but you'll all be wrong. Crows young brigade to do the biz. Brisbane will start a mediocre year with a win against the 2009 wooden spooners, and the Swans will start their slide out of the 8 in round one. It's going to be a long year....
On Sunday we have a marketers absolute nightmare. The Dees v the Roos. Two teams that should have relocated or merged 10 years ago. Who gives a sht. Seriously. Then the Paaaah v Essendon and the Dockers v the Dogs. What a bunch of ratings bonanza's these are eh? Unbelievably ordinary games by a bunch of who-cares scraggers. Ok, the doggies have a reasonable team but seriously... I reckon that Paps/Bombers game is the only game that ALL the teams supporters will tip the opposition. Loyalty my arse.
